Default Where to put disco rests?

I dont know where I should put these. I know what they are and what they do, and where they should go. The rig in the diagram is set up a little different than mine ('91). The sway bar drops considerably when they are disconnected as well. Whatever am I to do?!?!? Its a '91 xj with a RC 3" series 2 lift. Anyone else have this prob or know of a solution???

I don't have that type of disco...but, my friend just installed them on his XJ. He just swung the sway bar link up until he found a good spot to mount them.

By the way...it looks like your links are too long or something...check out the difference in angle between your sway bar and the pic I posted...the pic is on a 96 XJ...that may be part of your problem finding a home for the little bracket.

Holy crap yeah those links are way too long. I've got mine set a little long so they don't hit my moved forward axle but they're nowhere near what you've got. Definitely need to take some length out of those

Wow does that not make a huge clunk when you go over bumps?! Those links are way too long. The top portion of your bar should be at a 10 degree angle from horizontal. Yours is like 70 degrees.

My suggestion, have RC send you the correct links. Shoot them a picture of what you've got and let them know your lift. Unless you have near future plans of 2" more lift those aren't going to work.

They dont make any other. Thats the prob. At least that is what i was told by grimus on the vendor forum here at CF. Sure he knows. These are for a 4"-6" lift, but i was told they could be made to work. Soooo....... Take them to a machine shop and let them chop'em and thread'em???

They make other discos I'm pretty sure. Check their website. Mine are less than bottomed out by like 1" on 4.5" and nowhere near as long as yours

Talked to Jason at RC and he is sending me some new ones out. I will update when installed. Thx guys for the help. I thought that looked a lil' squirrelly.

Btw - i dont mean to sound like a trumpeteer, but dealing with Jason (grimus on vendor forum) has been effortless on my side and a pleasure to work with. RC's customer service is TOP NOTCH. I am very happy i went with them for my equipment!!
