Default Where to go from here?

Hey guys, I've got a 98 XJ 2 door. Recently put a 3" lift, new 31" tires and 15x8 wheels on it. Now that I have that I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do next. The motor is stock (226k miles), so thinking about freshening it up and maybe do some small mods to it. It sadly has the d35 in the back, and I would like to upgrade that as well. I'd also like to get front and rear bumpers as well. If you guys have any input on this stuff is love to hear it. If there is anything I left out that I may need just let me know!

I would do rear locker. On 31s there's nothing wrong with a Dana 35. I had an xj over a year with a locked d35 on 31s and I used to wheel it hard as hell. Never not once had an issue. As far as bumpers go, people are going to tell you a hundred different brands and types. Your best bet is go on Google images and death till you find one you like.

Lock the front and swap out that 35. 29 spline 8.25s are a dime a dozen.

X2 don't waste $ on dana 35 because you will eventually go bigger than 31s

I'd lock the front for sure. Dana 35 can handle it on 31s but not the best option. Dana 30 can handle it all day long

Sounds to me that your next step would to hit he trails amd have some fun. I have found that this is the best way to tell what is the next upgrade you'll want to do.

Awesome guys, thanks for the input! I found a 8.25 for $180 so I think I'm going to get it. Where's the best/cheapest place to get lockers??

I trust our vendors more then some people on ebay,And the vendors support our forum and give you good deals here and there if you wait and watch.
