oil pan skid isnt really necessary on XJs, the front axle pretty much prevents you from hitting it 99% of the time. tcase? theres like 10 aftermarket skids and bellypans for XJs. buy one or copy one, or weld a piece of plate to your stock xmember and call it a day.
depends what you want to spend, what you expect out of the skid, and your skills if you make one.

Also what kind of use/abuse ar ethey going to see? if your just doing dirt roads and light wheeling the stock ones should do fine. I would go pull some from a JY, I got my gas tank skid for 7.50$ lol
But if you are going to be landing on rocks or abusing them over nad over... I would get some that are 3/16ths-1/4" Really pepends on how you wan tthem to work/look and what your willing to spend.... Most 4x4 companys who make XJ parts make them... JCR, IRO, Clayton, Ect...

Yea see I'm going to do light offloading and once in awhile be advatures in the mudd with 31 I just rather be safe then sorry and I don't have the best luck either Plus my buddy has a shop who will weld it up for free but I have to buy the metal so I been trying to figure out what would be cheaper and quality to matters because so far rustys oil pan and trans is 175 is the best I've found and a tcase skid 100 almost any where's so what's cheaper and any ideas if I were to do it home made
