Hoop and Jmm, are compairing apples and oranges. There are advantages to both steel and alloy wheels, slots are not going to bend, and are lighter where as a steel will bend and is heavier, but you can get a hammer and pound it out to a simblance of roundness to get you back on the trail for the moment. Is hammering on it a quick fix? No. Will it get you by without a tow truck? Probably. All that having been said, unless you plan on some serious crawling it off roading, you will more than likely not have to worry about either of these problems. If I were you I would go with alloys, they are more expensive than steelies and the rotating weight will decrease, increasing your fuel economy and decreasing the stress put on the hubs, tierods, steering joints, etc. I would say, buy yourself a good set of alloys with proper back spacing and sell your current setup to offset the cost of the new wheels. This will be safer than the spacers. Spacers are a good quick fix, but think of it like this, you are effecting the integrity of the weeel, him and studs every time you change the back spacing, you want there to be as few pieces to worry about as possible and adding spacers is just going to give you another weak point to think about. A solid wheel (steel or alloy) is much stronger than a wheel that is attatched to a device that is attached to the hub. Spacers are Not made for heavy duty use like crawling, racing, towing or competition pulling. They are a quick fix for people who want a better asthetic look to their vehicle. Will they break under normal conditions? Probably not. Will they break on a crawling trip on an obsticle that stuffs your tires up into the well on one side with 33 degrees of articulation on the other side with literally thousands of pounds being exerted on the studs and wheels? I'd rather not find out. Just my opinion. Sorry for being long winded

Spacers are not for aesthetics codyxj....

With that being said; I've been running 2" spacers for quite a white now and I've got no complaints about them, as long as they're on there tight you should be fine with them.

I have 33s on 3.5" RE and even with the 2" spacers I still get LCA rub when I make tight turns.
