Wheel Base Adjustment
I did an 8.8 swap using RuffStuff's kit. It has three holes in the plates. Besides possible tire clearance problems, is there any reason not to use the center hole? I want to try moving my axle forward a little for driveshaft length purposes.

the center hole on the spring perch? the center hole should be typical one you use. the more offset your center pin is from the center of your axle tube the more prone you'll be to axle wrap. but you could use any of the 3 holes and be just fine, that's what they're there for!

Cool! I'm going to try it. I think it may actually help minimize axle wrap if I use the rear hole in the perch to move the axle forward since there will be a leverage advantage on the front of the perch when it pushes up on the spring upon acceleration.
Atmos, Is that your Jeep burning in your avi? My parents had a Jeep that they bought brand new in 1984 that caught fire like that on the highway. It was quite a sight!

hmm never thought of using the rear hole, usually people want their axle further away to get a little stretch lol. I'm not a physicist
