Whats In Your Roof Rack?!?!?!?!?!
Never seen a thread like this before so I thought it might be a nice one to start. Basically just post a picture of what you store/ have mounted on your roof! I don't care if its a CB antenna lets some of those beautiful XJ roofs!!!!
What I'm really interested in seeing is what gear people have stored in, on, near, or around their safari racks. Seems like 90% of jeeps have them but no one really talks about what they store up there or how they tie or lock it down. Lets see some roof racks!!!!

haul my kayak around, haul lumber up there (broke the factory rails with too much lumber), sheets of plywood, etc... i threw a 4x4 sheet of pegboard up there, fit inside perfectly
i just use camlock 1 inch web strap
small jerry can when i use the xj for goin to work, theres a 5hr stretch where theres no gas available
bought it used (3yrs old) for half price

throw strap over kayak from the side
then route it under crossbar
then back over kayak to starting point and under crossbar,
cinch tight
re tighten after 30 miles....theyve stayed tight for 12hr trips

I'm sure ill figure out some way to tie it down. The hardest part is going to be situating it over top of the spare tire and and then keeping it from breaking my spotlights off the front of my basket. As soon as I get it all finished up Ill post mine on here!

I cart my 12' Kayak on top. Plus have an ax & shovel mounted on the driver side and Hi-Lift is mounted on the passenger side.

That's about as much mine has carried lol. Plan on putting a hi-jack and some rear lights on it. Other than that I haven't needed to use it yet.
