Hey Guys, I have a question about tires and lift spacing.
I have a 2000 XJ with stock 16in wheels a 3inch lift and 1.5in spacers.
I ordered the TOYO R/T 305/70R16 they look great but their a bigger then I expected and I'm worried they'll rub the fenders.
" This image is (NOT MY JEEP) I really wanted mine to look like this build I found on IG.
_QUESTION_
1. Does anyone know what size these tires are in the image below? I'm assuming the wheels are 15 or 16in..
2. Will the TOYO R/T 305/70R16 rub the fenders with a 3 inch lift kit and 1.5 inch wheel spacers?
This is the stance I'm looking for Here's a close up
I run a 3.5" Lift with 265-75-16 and will get an occasional rub but it can be easily controlled. I would assume a 33x12 tire would rip the bumper end caps clean off and they will rub in the slightest of off camber situations, like turning into a driveway. Spacers will help clear the control arms but not the bumpers end caps and rear radius of the fender flare.
Mine are basically 32x10. The 265/65/17 your looking at is a 31x10. Either one is perfect for a daily driver Cherokee. You wont have any issues with those and won't have to run spacers as long as you extend the steering stop bolts on the knuckles. Though I have noticed that most 17" wheel guys will run 265/70/17 (32x10). Another thing is wheel studs if you're looking at Aluminum wheels, but you're probably aware of that. My steel factory wheel studs were short but sufficient. I installed slightly longer studs in the rear anyway just to have better thread engagement.
