You have to make the brackets it's not a strait bolt in. You will need the xj and mj brackets then grind the rivets off of the rails on all of them then bolt and tack weld the mj rail on to the xj bases. And of course you have to remove the ebreak.

Driver's seat is out of a HMMWV. The recline mechanism broke so I had a gangsta lean going and didn't want it to let go and lay me all the way back while driving. The HMMWV seat was not made to lean back or lean forward, but having a 2 door I had to have it lean forward. Luckily the side brackets for the back were easy to modify. Now is lays forward when I need it and no worries of it EVER laying backwards.

I don't have pictures of the brackets and don't have any plans to take the seat out any time soon. but after i grounded out the rivets i put grade 8 bolts in their place bolted them in place so they were square and tacked them to gather.

Yikes! Having spent a good deal of my life in a HMMWV... I simply can't imagine swapping IN one of their seats! Wow! We used to rob the CCKV (Blazer or pick up) to get their seats to use in the HMMWV. Sadly, now that the Army has been giving us thicker vests and stupid amounts of extra gear over the years... its even more uncomfortable driving them. You got pics... I gotta see what that looks like.

Anybody ever used a racing seat? Like a black vinyl seat with a slot for 5 point harnesses? I like the support of the better seats.. but I haven't found a set that really fits inside of the xj.
any hints?
