Is it just me or did the font change in his post? lol
Anyway, like mentioned, Bilsteins are nice. But if you're on a budget, anything by Rubicon Express, Rough Country, and Rusty's is pretty good. I just ordered 4 RC shocks for my 6.5'' lift. And if it's a DD/weekend warrior, I recommend going with Hydro shocks, opposed to Nitro. Since Nitro is charged with Nitrogen, they'll be great off the road, but might not be the best option for daily driving. Although it comes down to personal preference.

there are a couple different ways to choose shock length. but the funnest way is just to fully flex out and measure collapsed/extended/ride height then buy a shock that is closest to that
valving is tricky. best option is to call the company you're going to order from and they will tell you their options

the 5100's will be fine too. but they're pricey. rubicon shocks are made by bilstein so they're also a great choice

RE Monotube shock is made by Edelbrock on a private label basis .

Last time I checked Edelbrock manufactured all of its shocks in an Edelbrock facility in Torrance, CA
Superlift, Trailmaster, Skjacker, Fabtech and various other companies sell twintube shocks built by Arvin Meritor (Gabriel)
Pro Comp and Rancho sell twintubes manufactured by Monroe. (Rancho is a wholly owned division of Monroe),
All I know is my Bilstein's 5100's were Made in Germany

If you want to question my knowledge on where the shocks are made and get the info first hand call mike at RE this # is in my first post he will point you towards Edelbrock making the RE shocks. The statement in my previous post I will stand firm on.
You can also look on Pirate4x4 and they will give the same answer as I did on my shock manufacturer post.
