With no tactile feedback on a touch screen, their use requires extended time of the drivers eyes off the road for tuning and sound adjustments. This is dangerous. Old type radios with ***** and buttons can be easily adjusted with little or even no need at all to avert ones eyes from the road. Screens with menus are the worse, as they require a lot of visual work to operate the adjustments.

^^^^^^^
my 2000 had a great OEM radio/cassette/CD that I really liked... Big buttons, no multi function garbage. It started to have problems so replaced with a not cheap POS with blue tooth. Hated that thing, buttons the size of pin heads, and all this junk you need to scroll through while looking at the display.
Fixed the oe radio, got a$20 plug in Bluetooth FM transmitter that also works with phone. Life is good....and safer
