4:10' s with 33's is great on a 5 speed

 

what ever information i can get the better for me

 

I emailed a local 4x4 shop here and this is what he told me:
$440 to gear the front
$380 to gear the rear
+$100 if installing ARB/ per axle
+$100 if I provide my own parts.

That's just a quote I got from here.
For 4.56's, which I'm startin to learn is the best for 33's.
$159 for the Dana 30's
$229 for the C8.25.
And that depends on how complete the gear set is, including bearings.

 

so, if he provides the parts its cheaper? unless you save $100 off his prices. hes just trying to turn a little profit off of those gears even though he didnt sell them, pretty much a big stinky pile of BS

 

Does anyone know of a cheap place to get gears done near the seattle area?
I was quoted by a couple companies for 1k+ just for labor.

I agree... The place I was quoted for was in Wenatchee... Just east of Seattle!

 

Im going to regear myself. If I do it correctly and you trust me, ill do it for the cost of gas in my tundra. It will be awhile since I need to research tools and how to guides. Im not paying a grand plus for something I can possibly do for 500.

 

add a case of beer to the deal... it helps ease the frustration while setting the pinion depth lol
