WOW, glad i found you guys. Cool, so i here a front shaft from my xj might work in the rear with a 4.5" Rub Exp. Superflex lift and SYE kit....is this true? Front shaft from diff yr and model??? This is daily Driver, trying to have no down time but none of the "pros" can tell me what length rear shaft to order...any advise would be awesome

 

go to the junkyard and grab a front shaft off an XJ with an automatic. i've been running one on my 5.5" Rubicon lift for a few years now with no issues.

also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to put all new u-joints in it

 

Front shaft should work. But if you want to a new shaft. You need to measure.... There is not a fixed spec to give you. Too many variables. Go to the Tom Woods site they have instruction on how to measure for the drive shaft.

 

find someone here and ask them to measure theres with same lift
