Nothing else needed as far as the lift. You might want longer shocks but if you dont plan on offroading even those are not 100% neccessary. On my first XJ I installed a 3inch and I didnt need anything else.

1. Coil springs
2. Leaf Springs , Or Add A Leaf (Full Leaf Packs run more and are worth the extra cost.)
3. Lower control Arms (Recommended, But the flimsy stock ones will work.)
4. ADJ Trac bar, Or Bracket for stock Trac bar (I perfer going with an Adjustable Trac bar.)
5. T-Case Drop (Some Jeeps need them some do not.)
6. Extended Steel Brakelines ( Smart thing to have I always put them on everything I Lift. )

Read my Build thread, You'll see a breakdown of what I have bought for my RE 3.5" lift I have put together for $665 including bilstein 5100 shocks. Piecing together my lift I have saved roughly $400 over the cost of the Kit and shocks alone !

I guess i'm stupid then as well. Ran the stock lca's on my 3" for 2 years before going up to 4". Did plenty of offroading and never had an issue so apparently i wasn't stupid 'cuz I didn't spend money that didn't need spending. You don't NEED new lca's until you get up to 4".

Ive got stock LCAs on my 4 inch with CAD brackets. Stock arms flex a lot off road but are also dirt cheap and readily available if one ever breaks. (5 bucks at our JY) I just have Daystar poly bushings in mine. Not everyone needs insane amounts of flex or "shiny" tubular control arms. You can even shim the LCA forward a bit to help with the caster angles.

This Beadlock guy gets on every thraed and tells people that everything is a bandaid. According to him you are stupid if you dont buy every piece of equipment available. He wants SYEs at 3inches of lift etc. Otherwise you are stupid. The OP is asking what is needed to lift 3 inches. Not what is needed to have the most capable offroader with a 3 in lift. We all know what you are saying, you have not discovered anything new here but not everyone needs that.
