So this is supposed to be a Chevy 1 ton... But its driver drop... I dont have access to it right now, and I cant tell what it is from this pick... maybe some one on here will know...
Yeah I am thinking ford... the rear looks like a 14 bolt... they both are sitting under a 90's tahoe, some one did a solid axle swap... so they could easily be non-matching
Being its a 88-98 truck those never came solid axle and all the sas kits for it use a ford front axle because of the driver side drop t case.Look around the edge of the diff cover it should be stamped on the housing 44 or 60.Take a picture of the hubs those can tell which axle it is.
go back and look again, and clean the webbing near the 9F......it WILL have a number there if it is a dana axle
My bet is it actually says 44-9F....which would be a 79-86 ford front dana 44 with the 8.9 ring gear from a f150/250, and if follows like it did on my dodge, it is a full time axle too.
You really need the BOM number form the axle tube (see diagram I posted a few links above)
