stingers are flip protectors.
i have prerunners, they look good and protect your jeep. but not from flipping over,
i thought about making a stinger thats removable, just gotta sleeve it good. i also want it to be made so i can make it a little stair case to my hood lol, its mostly just for fun til i get a new bumper with a real stinger.

That's call a prerunner bumper... a buddies running it, & that turquoise XJ is now yellow with a stinger! While the prerunner might prevent or slow down a flop, its not the intended use.

well heres the one that really caught my eye and I asked if I could fab it.
It's very tastefully done and looks as functional as can be.
it just looked like it would be an easy design to use a bolt on stinger and I was wondering if it was possible

yeah as soon as I tear up the original paint on the trail
I'm gonna put my art on the original paint. graf it up
then when it gets really bad because I'm a terrible artist, I'll repaint the whole thing
does bedliner come off at all on the trail?
I worry about having to spot check the rockers and bumpers to keep them looking new
after hitting the rocks

I used rustolem on mine. When I knock it on something, its easy to touch up. anything you put on there doesn't have a chance against a rock face any way; it's gonna go down to the metal. Most people with stingers on here don't actually have functional ones. They'll most likely just permanently seal their hood shut when they go over. Mine is, as I feel, a good design to produce a stinger, that isn't tied into a cage, which might actually hold up to an endo. That, and it works great to mount hill faces I can't get started on.

i have access to a commercial bedlineing rig that puts some serious protection on. it will stand up to getting hit with hammers and all kinds of ****. im doing my whole jeep in it, plus i can color it since the machine mixes the parts automatically. i suggest going somewhere commercially that has on and asking them to spray it. better than can and roller.

I just need to know what the most durable material is. I'll find one when the time comes
and actually I decided I want the stinger full time. the look has grown on me already
so im abandoning this thread for the most part haha
