Default What is this ?

I was out doin a little flexing in the yard and when i pulled the jeep into the garage I saw this. What is it?

Is looks to me to be a breather tube for the t-case but I'm not sure and where does it connect too

Maybe the vacuum line if you have a front disconnecting axle, on older XJ's (late 80's?)

there should be a bolt in the engine bay on the fire wall almost right in the center thats where mine is hooked. doesnt really matter where you hook it just make sure its high and out of the way of were water can get to it.
