Default Weird Headlight problem

So i purchased the Putco headlight harness, hella headlight conversion, and the sylvania ultra bulbs. Installed it all. When i just turn headlights on they work fine. If i click to high beams, they go to high beams, but when i try to go back to low beams, it gets even brighter. It will do that until i turn the headlights off and back on again and dont use high beams. Anything i can check?

Maybe you've the wrong relay, or the wrong bulb?
Sounds like an odd problem... There are lots of headlight problems I've read about, but this isn't one of them.

I'm going to take a guess and say you have factory fog lights. The way they are wired, it interferes when you installed the Putco, and basically keeps your highs and lows on simultaneously.

There are a few ways around it. You could pull the factory fog relay (that's what I did) and wire your fogs separately, or you can extend the small 20ga red wire on the driver's side to the factory fog relay.
