Welcome to the forum. A few suggestions before some of the guys let loose on you. 1. Stop YELLING by typing in all caps. 2. use the search part of the forum, search is your friend on the forum. 3. tell us something about yourself, your rig, what are you looking to do with it. Current mods, future mods, lift, mud or rock crawler, daily driver, toy and most of all, the year of your xj

sorry bout all the caps was at work an the program we use we beed caps lock on lol. I do mostly trail/two tracks an fire roads. Jeep currently has a 3-4.5 lift. Has 33 in tires and new shocks all the way around as well as a new extended track bar. She sees mostly san, mud and downed trees. Not a whole lot of rocks unless we go to the orv park. My current tie rod bar is alittle bent just looking for some thins new. Been on these forums bfor so i already know about the zj tie rod bar. Just looking for insight on a new kit without breaking the bank also its a 98 with the 8.25 an hp 30 would like to go with a long arm kit in near future as well as getting front an rear lockers

If you can accurately measure cut and weld dom then ruff stuff has a cross over steering kit also that's a couple hundred less than that Kevin's one.

The spacers are used on the tie-rod TRE's.
Post a pic of your front end so I can get a feel for your trackbar location.

I use my XJ about the same way as you do and recently upgraded quite a few different items steering being one of them. After researching the steering issue in my case I decided on the ZJ upgrade. I bought it all new at AutoZone (Moog 3 pcs.) for under $100 tax included. That was the first time I had held one in my hand before all I can say it really is a substantial upgrade as far as strength.

I have been well pleased with it and glad so many members here suggested it and had did it. At the same time as the steering I also added gears and Detroit Lockers now that was a real upgrade also one of the best I've done so far.

was looking into the zj setup but when I noticed most if not all my tie rod end joints were loose I figure id just upgrade to a/m steering as the looks of the serious offroad the price for getting 1 ton steering isn't much more then buying tierod ends tie rod bar and drag link.

frank will have to take some pics tonight when I get home for you trac bar to axle is in stok location the frame is dropped quit a bit

My UTK Kit will work just fine and dandy with your existing T/B.
