Using studs instead of bolts for t-case
1st post, hello all!
I'm at the end of re-building the 242j that's in my 2000 XJ.
Question is, has anyone used studs instead of bolts?, I'm referring to the 11 bolts that hold the case and cover together.
Studs are stronger than bolts, looks like it can be done easily enough.
Is it a upgrade?, anyone see and problems with it?
I've searched it but haven't found much.

I've searched it but haven't found much.
It's still a young thread, I'm keeping an eye on it.
Good thing is, nobody has brought up a blatant problem w/ the topic.
I have the studs all ready to go, the main issue I've found in my searching is if a threadlocker is used the parts have to be assembled before the threadlocker cures.
Which means they'll have to be installed into the case, the cover will be put on w/ out the pump and pick-up, and the nuts will be installed while the threadlocker cures on the half of the stud that is in the case. That will insure the studs are engaged in the threads of the case.
Thanks for following!
