its either 1.5 .120 wall dom or 1.75 .120 wall dom. Either of those should be fine. Also, that cage is worthless with a four door. those back door can't open with the way the cage goes around the door. I would try to avoid that myself.

I'd go with the 1.75" because I think it just looks better than the 1.50"; even with just that 1/4" of difference but definitely a DOM. SCCA has listed requirements for tubing diameter/wall thickness/material type based on vehicle weight. I know that you don't expect to road race this puppy but they're based on well analyzed crash investigations.

Use 1.75 x .120 dom for main cage and 1.5 x.120 for braces and gussets.

2 x .250 will be to top heavy and isn't needed for a vehicle as light as the Cherokee.

This is always still in the back of my mind. I still love this cage. If i ever try I'm going to use the whole front portion pretty much. Then as it moves past the doors maybe do something diffrent so i can keep my rear doors. Maybe support the rear window area more . and as it comes from the quarterpanel, use a bend to go to the rocker and angle the tube coming behind the rear door to the quarterpanel. This is so baddass tho

Overkill.

Search a bit, threads exist covering this topic. I've started a few of them myself.

What do you plan to bend the tube with?

Have you considered HREW instead of DOM? Some wise folks here have discussed this with me, and we've come to the conclusion that HREW is more than strong enough for an exo cage.

Its also significantly cheaper than DOM.
