I was browsing about and stubbled upon tube doors for 4 door Cherokee's. I was thinking, wouldn't that make my Cherokee much easier to steal? Also, since I live in Phoenix. They wouldn't be very practical during the summer. But my main question is. Would tube doors increase the chance of my xj getting stolen?

Cherokees are already easy to steal they can be hot wired in about 10 seconds by someone who knows what they are doing and breaking the wing window only takes a couple seconds as well, just dont park somewhere where someone will steal it

having an xj increases the chances of getting your cherokee stolen... they are really easy to steal, i had my first one stolen luckily i got it back. just make a killswitch for it, easy. you can do a battery cut of or wire a switch to the coil, that way it will still crank but not start

Hahaha. Well I will wire a killswitch in it. Aswell as getting a gps tracker. I like the warrior tube doors. I could only use them in the winter though . Arizona is waaay to hot in the summer for those. But since I have no money at the time. I have to wait, still waiting on the procomp lift my brother-in-law is sending me for free

Hey man I am in PHX as well. Just a personal note here from a bit of my experience.

They dont give a **** about stealing your vehicle so much as they want to steal the **** inside your vehicle. And its stupid what they will take. I have been really dumb before and left my rig wide open. The only thing to get stolen was the aux cable for my radio...

The meth heads are just looking to make a quick buck by taking what they know they can pawn from your vehicle... Just saying.. hahahah

ya my jeep was gone for 2 weeks after is was stolen...i expected to get a call saying they found a jeep body... when i got it back it still had the brand new m/t 31's on it, all my camping gear, tools and skateboard in the back...they did steal 2 pairs of oakleys, a crappy wal mart cb radio (including antenna and cable wtf??) and my Walther P22....i was really sad about the pistol... but happy to get the jeep back in one piece.

ok back on topic... here were some tube doors i made. cost me like 60 bucks or something. Kia Sportage rear tire carriers, weird i know, but i wandered the junkyard looking for the beefiest ones and they were the kias... some cutting and grinding and wa-la! worked for me..and cheap.

would they steal the cherokee with tube doors or the overpriced wrangler with no doors sitting right next to you?
