i started to try making my 90 2 door have removable doors. ran into a few issues frist i tried a test fit with the bottom part of the upper tab cut off. the pin started bending. did some xjs come with a hollow pin because it doesnt seem strong. if i go to the junkyard this week could the hinges off another year be modifed to work beter. i started experimenting with the way it was done on the write up.

when you cut, cut the top pin longer than the bottom pin. it makes it a whole lot easier to line up. i will try to get some pics tomorrow. mine lift off and my tubes slide right on.
