I just installed a new MechMan 170 amp alternator & I'm not seeing the numbers id like to have. I'd like to get it around 14 volt steady. I know it's externally regulated so I have 2 questions...
1) is there any safe way to run an adjustable external regulator?
2) The stock pulley measured 2 1/4" & the MechMan alt is 2 3/4". If i swap pulleys, will the smaller pulley give me more voltage at idle?
Thanks
