Trouble cutting hinges to get doors off
Ok i read a bunch and have been working on cutting the bottom of the hinges off doors so that i can just lift doors off and when put back on they will have a stock fitment and alignment will be good. Having trouble gettin the cut all the way through, What would be ideal would be a video lol. Ive tried a dremel and can get probably 80% cut but then it starts to turn because dremel starts hitting like the door. grinder really appears to be too big. WAY to many peoplehave done this mod so i know it works, but theres got to be something that im missing?!?! Any help?

Just pull the hinges off.
People make it out to be way more difficult than it is.
I suppose a sawzall would make quick work of it.

When you take the hinge off the area underneath the hinge will be cleaner then the surrounding area. Just put the body side of the hinge back in that same exact place an you won't have to worry about alignment.

Just so you know I did this exact same mod and cut the hinges with the hinges still on the door and the sagged pretty bad. I don't have power anything in the door so it's not like they were super heavy but just giving you a heads up. When I asked this question like last year someone replied saying it would happen (misalignment) but I didn't care I just wanted to drive with the doors off haha. It's sweet, but I've never got them to line up perfectly again. As for your question, grab a bigger cutting wheel for your Dremel and cut that f*cker off! Goodluck!
