Default Trick my truck !

I have a 96 Cherokee sport 4door 4wheel drive 4.0 straight 6 ad I wanna know what necessary mods should be made to the truck. Also I wanna know what mods I can and can't do. I already know I can't run bigger that 33's because I have a Dana 35 in the rear. Right now my plan is lift it 4.5" with 32's on 15's. Some fender flares, roof lights, and push grill/brush guard. A cold air intake and custom exhaust. im also adding the little thing like a sound system which i have already, a cb, cop scanner, gps, and other little things. Id like to make my truck as nice as possible while keeping it as cheap as possible so guys.... make some of this a junkyard trip cause those are always fun too. Is there anything I should be changed or that I can't add on? Thanks for the help guys and opinions are welcome.

S10 bastard pack and buy some actual 4.5" coils and set length control arms. Zone nitro shocks are cheap/good. May or may not need an sye depends on your luck. As for intake and exhaust I have no idea it doesn't make enough performance difference to be worthwhile. This is however coming from a guy running open headers.

Sounds good except I wouldn't go with the cold air intake unless you do a cowl air intake. I installed a cold air intake last fall and it was fine for the winter but as soon as the spring came around it was always getting wet. There are some good write ups just search cowl induction. So if you will be doing any water crossings or wet trail Driving you may want to re consider. Here's a picture of my intake.

How does yours get wet? Not from rain right? You mean it was getting wet on the trails hopefully. I just ordered one for mine today...

went with the AFE Stage 2 with heat sheild.

What type of things do you want to do with your jeep? Just drive it to work? Trails?-what types? Is it mostly to make it look good?

-As far as roof lights, honestly if you are looking for function, then you are better off putting some on the bumper they give a lot more useful light on roads. But they look pretty good on the roof though I think.

-Looking back on my build, I would personally figure out which big ticket items you want to do and do those first. All of the little things will nickel and dime you and add up very fast.

If you haven't swapped out your rear axle, then you should have the C8.25, not a D35. The 8.25 is a pretty decent rear axle. You'd be fine to run up to 35's on it without breaking anything.

I think mine came stock with the d35 but I don't think I'm gonna run anything bigger that 32 or 33 inch tires

why couldnt his rig come with a d35? Mine has a d35. if he has abs brakes then he has a d35, if he has no abs he could have either or. 8.25 dont come with abs so thats a good way to tell wich rear end u have, also another way to tell is d35 diff covers are round, 8.25 are round but have a flat spot on the top and bottem

I agree, I have a 99 with a d35 and abs. I didn't think it was possible until after I bought it and looked.

this is what a 5" front lift and 3" rear looks like with 33s

if you wanted bigger than 32s its doable on that lift amount and i like the bigger tires on them
