transmission line attachments

transmission line attachments
My transmission line on my 1992 jeep cherokee has been leaking recently.. so i decided to switch out the transmission line that goes from the transmission to the radiator. i got the old one off.. and went to put the new one on and they have different attachments. the metal clip in the new line comes out.. but it is still a different diameter.. so the nylon clip on the hard line doesnt fit inside.. the picture below shows the old and new. anyone run into this same problem?? any solutions?
