transfer linkage issues
So Ive searched around online and gone through 283 pages of posts on here and I still cant find an answer to linkage woes. About 8 months ago I installed a transfer case drop as a temporary fix to my driveshaft angles. I recently installed an sye and grand cherokee front shaft, so I took out the transfer drop and sold it. Before and after the transfer case drop was installed the transfer worked great, but now that I actually pulled the transfer out and re-installed, it wont go into 4 low. The linkage itself looks fine all the grommet things are new. The shaft on the range selector didnt need to be cut. By hand the transfer shifts fine. There is a part of the linkage that looks as if it should move into a spot on the transmission when it move through the z gate. Mine does not line up and actually moves the entire transmission if it is forced into 4 low. Im wondering if anyone knows of an issue like this and what they did to fix it. I think the transmission mount needs to be replaced but Im not sure it would completely fix this issue. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
