So I rebuilt my transfer case and decided to throw an SYE kit on there while I was at it. Now there's a leak and I just found it. It's leaking around the output shaft seal between the yoke and the seal. How do you fix something like that? Since it's a moving surface? And what would cause it? I had an idea that maybe the rear driveshaft doesn't extend enough and maybe pulled down on the back of the case? Just throwing an idea out there.

Does the output shaft have runout?

Is it bent?

Seems to be a common occurrence with these kits. The leaking replacement seal - output shaft.

Is it a RUGGED RIDGE SYE? I installed quite a few of those kits and every single one always leaked from the output seal.

The seal is in perfect condition. And no bending that I can tell.

Yes its rugged ridge. Is there any way to get rid of the leak or is it just something I have to deal with now?

YUP...nothing new with this issue lol

"The standard SYE uses #18676.62 seal which is an OE # 3208474 with an I.D. of 47.20 mm and an O.D. of 70 mm.
I will get a replacement seal shipped out right away for you.

Lol well I tried to contact their customer support but the captcha won't load so I can't submit the ticket. I found that part on amazon but it's an add-on only. =p

I'll try calling Omix-ada tomorrow or Monday and see what they can do.

Got the new seal in the mail. I'll give an update later on if it fixes the leak.
