Default Transfer case lowering kit

hey i just picked up a t-case lowering kit and in the instructions it says i have to loosen the motor mounts? is this actually necessary?

No.

Support cross member with a jack, remove 4 bolts, add super cool spacers, replace with longer 4 bolts, remove jack and vibe down the road.

They suggest that because the t-case lowering kit changes the angle on the motor mounts, if you're lucky it'll make them wear faster too.
