Transfer case drop question
Hi all. Installing a mild 3" lift on my 96 XJ, and there is some debate about need to Actually drop the transfer case a bit to solve for potential vibrations.
On another forum thread, there was some comment that models AFTER my 96 "require" a drop, but earlier models didnt.
So my question is....what changed "down below" in 1997 ?
No guessing please...does anyone actually know?
Thanks!

A lot of people run that amount of lift with no t case drop or SYE. I'd say try it without the drop first. If you have vibes, then put it on. Simple install. 4 bolts. All it takes is a jack and a wrench
