Transfer Case Drop Bolts/Studs removal
Hey jeepers, fairly new to the Jeep world and lifting etc. I bought a 2001 Cherokee about a month ago and immediately ordered parts to start lifting it. Went with a RC 3” lift with full leaf packs and front lower control arms. Now I’m having a little vibration issue, I did the rear DS U joints and it helped a little bit but vibration is still visible. Now I’m going with a TC drop from RC. I’m a bit nervous removing the studs and bolts as I have read they tend to break. I have read I can go though the inside and drill down into the frame.
I wanted to know if I could use nurserts/rivenuts. I’ve tried looking up the tolerances and I’ve concluded that the stainless steel rivenuts are strongest. I just want to make sure it’ll work.
Thanks!
