Default Trailer Lights

Hooked up universal trailer kit to my 91, everything works great minus the blinkers. Brakes, running work fine. Turn signals blink very fast and dim (prob cause of speed of flash, not grounding issue). All meters fine at the 4-pin connector before I hook up the trailer.

Heavy duty flasher take care of this? Solid state (electronic) a better option or waste of money? TIA!

HD flasher really helps, my utility trailer is a real sob for chasing ground connections every spring.

Ground is good on my rig. Can grounding issues on trailer effect lighting even though you are carrying a ground through the wiring harness??? REAL new trailer in great condition btw.

HD flasher took care of it. After i put it in the right spot. I put it in the hazards flasher instead the first time, top right of fuse box. Turn sigs are bottom left of fuse box. Blinky blinky.

Where can one find an HD Flasher? I have a 2000 with an aftermarket hitch and I did the wiring about 3 years ago. Recently, driver side blinker is fast-flashing. Driver-side rear turn-signal bulb was dim so I replaced it but still fast flashes. Gone through all the bulbs, but all seems good there, so I'm browsing here for ideas. Might be my wiring job, though I thought I was pretty thorough and it's been fine for a long time, but'cha never know.

I have to ask, did you check the front to see if it was working? also ,is the fast blinking with or without a trailer connected?
