trackbar question
So my XJ is stock, and it needs a new trackbar... where it attaches to the "frame" the joint is popping and moves alot... soooo, i will be lifting 3 inches and going with an adjustable... my question is, can i get an adjustable now and run it stock height??? All the ones ive seen have a lift amount on them... I would hate to buy an oem one now and upgrade it in a couple months... also, what does "double sheer" mean??
Double shear means the bolt is supported on both sides by the bracket.
I don't know of any aftermarket adjustable trackbars that can be used at stock ride height without moving the axle too far to the passenger side.
JY trackbar sounds like your besrt bet at this point.

i have your answer OP but it may not be cheap. here goes.
IRO has an upgraded stock style trac bar. stronger beefy, etc. When you lift, they have the conversion kit to make that track bar an adjustable DS one. check their site out and you'll see what I mean.
sorry Frank, not trying to ruin future customers, but seeing this can be a safety issue, id rather he fix it now and maybe do it so it doesnt hAve to be done twice.

Bud I have a stock one that's not that old if ya want it. I won't charge you anything but shipping. It's got a touch of rust on it from sitting. Might have 3k miles on it. It might just be cheaper for you to source one locally though. My zip is 36092. Hope this helps

thats understandable and it isn't cheaping out at all. first priority is safety always. If there was the extra frosting to be had such as a simple upgrade in the future or anything, thats the +1. Good luck getting it fixed up. i know the feeling of driving with a shotty TB.
