trackbar length
ok, so im nearing completion of my 44/60 swap. ironing out all the little stuff now and its obvious that my body is a little out of alignment above the front end. i swapped into a 79 ford fullwidth 44 and am running the TnT truss that was built specifically for this swap.
issue being that my trackbar is pulled in all the way but i still need maybe 1.5" to completely center it up. trying to decide if it would be ok to shorten the trackbar by 2" or if that would be an issue?
Thing is that the tracbar mount on that truss is about 4" more inward on the axle than the stock trackbar location. this is what is making my trackbar "too long".
at this point my idea would be to do one of the following:
-chop 2" off the tracbar making it about 29" eye to eye for proper centering
OR
- modify my frame side bracket to pull the trackbar about 2" further out from where it sits now at the frame.
i would much rather trim the trackbar itself cuz thatll cost much less but im a little concerned that it will b too short. keep in mind now, the length of my drag link is only like 31-32". has anyone else in here had this issue? any suggestions at all
would b greatly appreciated!

when i said "cut" i didnt literally mean to cut it and leave it. i would cut off the axle side joint, trim off 2" of tubing, and properly weld the joint back on

That would probably work. If you were going to cut a 2in section out of the middle, it would lose structural integrity. However, depending on how it was bent, shortening it from one end or the other may cause it to be at the wrong angle.

You could possibly need a relocation bracket. My friend did the same swap with the same truss, and had to get a new bracket. I can ask him for sure though

if u could check with him, that would b awesome. as of yet, i havent seen are heard of a true relocation kit. the few "relocation" kits ive seen are just swapping over from a tre end to a johhny joint kind of fitting.
