Default Trackbar?

Hey all. Current set up is 2in bb. In dire need of a new trackbar. Future plans is a 4.5in lift. Is a 4-6 lift trackbar to much for a 2in lift. Why buy twice when you can buy once and have it work for later.

Hit the JY or CL for a stock TB. Then buy a new one when you get your lift.

Check Craigslist, save yourself the trouble with the junk yard because Id bed youd ruin the boot trying to get it off. I got my stock track bar for $50 from Autozone, Id personally say it feels more heavy duty than my rough country track bar was.

Also I doubt you can use a 4-6 inch lift track bar with only 2 inches of lift. And Im sure a decent quality lift with long arms will come with the track bar.

If yours is trashed just go to a JY and pick one up, it will work fine. With a 2" lift stock is OK.

I've got a Rubicon Express adjustable track bar on mine, put it on at 1.5" of lift (needed it to center my axle anyways), and I know mine will work on a 4.5" lift (had it on my MJ at 4.5" for about a week before i put it back on the XJ and put the MJ back to stock).

He can redrill the hole for his stock one and will be OK, if needed.

Yes, just be carefull when drilling the new hole and use the correct bit. There's a good writeup on here about it that I'd search for if I wasn't on my phone.

Most adjustable track bars now worth buying start at 3" of lift. Lower suspension than that and they'll stick your axle far out the right side. (LHD)
