Save up and do it right the first time, get a double shear track bar from iron rock offroad. It's a great track bar, I have no complaints about it!

You can relocate yours depending in how high you are going by redrilling the axle side hole location, or by using a relocation bracket. Better off going with an adjustable aftermarket TB though. RE makes a pretty good one for the money from what I hear, Serious Offroad (forum vendor) carries them. A lot of folks will say to stay away from Rusty's, and the ones I have seen from RC are a little small for what I would want (have only seen two of theirs to be fair).

Ahhh, I forgot about IRO. very nice product. You can go cheap like I posted earlier, but a TB is not the place to skimp since you will be on the road mostly.

that last track bar posted looks exactly like the one rough country makes. I bought that one when I had death wobble and it continued to persist. go with the rubicon express one from serious offroad. great deal and a rock solid track bar

Iro double shear track bar !! Good stuff just installed one other than the grade 8 bolt they provide for the axle side is too short, so just pick up a different bolt and its all good.

That is the same track bar I got with my Rough Country lift, it lasted maybe a month before it was shot. I bought the Rubicon Express track bar and bracket from Serious. Great product and great service.

Ok how often do you go wheeling ? This is more of a street/snow rig, and that's it. Hope it last's a lot longer then that! The reviews I saw befor buying it, is saying everyone liked them lol

that product makes me gag

for sure go with a double shear setup with a rebuildable johnny. the Rubicon setup from seriousoffroad is great mine served me very well and is now in someone else's jeep still kickin'

if you're not gonna do it right dont do it at all. while a "heavy duty" track bar setup might not be 100% necessary, it's one of the major places you should refuse to skimp out on. I'd run the double shear setup on any XJ that sees offroad. even a little

also consider a track bar brace. wish I had one before I started wheeling

Another vote for IRO. Really stout setup.

Between the rubicon express, and the IRO track bar, which would you say would be a safer bet?

get the adjustable IRO will be beefy enough for mostly street driving, then if you do more wheeling you can buy their double shear upgrade kit, although that would be more expensive then getting the double shear first try

the iro track bar uses a tie rod end(? stupid). or you can get their double shear setup that uses bushing on both end to "allow as much suspension travel as your control arms or shocks will allow with no restriction" (wow. stupid)

since the rubicon track bar with a double shear bracket costs almost exactly the same... please. go with rubicon express
