Default A Track bar meltdown,Please help !

I hope someone will help an old man........ So , in the course of replacing everything in the front suspension that can be replaced , I came to the track bar nite mare with the help of my torch and I'm sure you know the end result. The bracket came off fine but when I toasted the castle nut on the stock bar of course I lost the taper. Order a new bracket ? , ya right ! dis-continued !. I think I need to scrap the new Moog TB and buy a 2" drop bracket and probably a different TB ?.
What do I do and what kind do I order please help.
P.S. I have purchased everything except the axle housing and a new 2" budget lift , springs ect.

Junkyard if you're looking for a stock bracket. What year and model? I have a stock one in good shape from a 95 cherokee if you want it.

Well I'm not sure that I want to replace it with a stock one.I have new springs and everything else for the suspension + a new 2" budget lift. My research has led me to believe that that 2" will change the axle centering let's face it , 2" right ?. I spent a while looking and I am considering the rough country http://www.roughcountry.com/forged-a...jFkaAi7f8P8HAQ set up.
What do you think about that ?

Okay so that's what I read over and over that up to 3" lift all is well but really ? thinking outside of the box and my OCD having to do everything right , a 2" change is a 2" " change " ! and that is altering the geometry so is it possible that saying " I should be okay " is a typical cliche ?. I'm in no way dis-respecting what you said , I just want everything to be nuts on no matter the cost.
Feel me ?

Oh yeah? I've got you beat. I've got a Cherokee and Comanche with stock track bar brackets on 3.5" lift with a combined mileage of over 180,000.

LOL.

And I'll bet there's about a jillion others out there just like ours working just fine.

A 2" lift doesn't shift the axle 2" side to side. The bar is pivoting on an angle. I lifted mine 5" and IIRC it shifted an inch or two. At 5". I would estimate your axle will be off center by no more than 1/2". Unless you are looking for it, you won't see it. There are many aftermarket TBs designed to work with the stock bracket. I would suggest you get a used bracket from the junkyard and run an OEM track bar.

Thank you ! I feel all warm & fuzzy inside now. I went ahead and ordered an adjustable TB and drop mount and it arrived today. It looks like it should go on a Peterbuilt tractor !.
Now I can sleep good just knowing that I spent my hard earned $ on something I didn't need yet it looks cool and I have bragging rights !
