A loose bolt or over-sized hole will allow the bolt to move and that compounds the problem.
Actually It was between the spherical part and the outer part. Not at the bolt. You could see it moving.

understood.

Keep in minfd that the heim is a part that will wear out and need to be replaced. How quickly and how often is largely contingent on the amount and type of use it gets.

Some folks can go for years without ever replacing one, others need to keep a bag of 'em as trail spares.

This applies to any heim, not just the ones used on track bars.

So "YMMV" couldn't be more true.

Thanks. That clarifies it.

What is this bracket designed to do?

For a DD that doesn't much more than light duty trail rides, I'd say no...save your money.

For a rig that's turning larger tires (33"+) and see's more extreme trail usage...get one.

I have the ****ty RC tracbar on my DD. The bar is fine. The ****ty TRE that comes with it is what wore out. It was shot within 2 months.

I used a nice Moog TRE to replace it and I haven't had an issue since.

I can see that. My question was, can it be used with the 1600?

Yes you can use the RE1665 with the RE1600 but you may have to add to the misalignment spacers to fill in the gap.

Iron Rock Offroad. Probably one of the most solid pieces on my XJ for its size. Could take down a small tree with it

Ah. So just that part can be replaced. I have the exact same as the one he wore out so I was concerned. I'll see if I can just get a spare. Thanks.

Have you contacted your vendor to get a warranty claim processed?
