Bone yard lift
Hey guys, I recently bought a bone stock 96 XJ. I love it but it needs some work. But that's part of owning a Jeep right?
I had a few questions about lifts. And trust me, I searched before hand and didn't quite find what I was looking for. First off, my 16 year old leaf springs are worn and heading towards the negative side of the arch. I don't really wanna put shackles on them because I am afraid they will really get all bent out of shape then. So that pretty much rules of bb lifts. I have read to stay away from aal packs because they end up sagging real easily and where I am already sagging I don't think that would be my best route either.
I'm not afraid to assemble a bastard pack but I really wanna know about how much the entire rig will run me including all the supporting mods that will need to be done. That brings me to my next questing. Would I need anything else other than new shocks for a bone yard pack? If so, what?
Also depending on how much the bastard pack costs I might just go with a full suspension lift system. I really don't want to spend 4-5 hundred dollars though.
I'm looking to achieve about a 3-4 inch lift and run 31's. Possibly 33's down the road. Also I need my Jeep to be a daily driver with some off road use every now and then but definitely way more on road than off.
Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks fan
