trac bar
Hey XJ's quick question. I'm getting my RE 3.5 inch lift today to update from my 2 inch lift. My trac bar looks stock and no new modifications seem to be there, could I leave the trac bar alone or will it have to be modified?

3.5 is kinda the line where you may or may not be able to get away with the stock one. If it were me, I'd go for a new adjustable one. You could get away with redrilling the stock track bar if you're looking to go the free route

There is a thread a few posts down on the main board where a similar question was asked. I'm installing the RE 3.5" Superflex kit and I opted to go with their single shear TB for now (111$ + shipping). Its a direct bolt on replacement.
You could opt for double shear which uses an HD mount. Companies like JKS, IRO, RK and RE make them and the run closer to the 180-200$+ range. Most guys will tell you to buy the double shear for the strength.
