The motor only has the ability to 'suck' so 'hard'.

Got try and breathe through a coffee straw for 5 min.

Got an EGT gauge or wideband o2 gauge?

Its not like he is saying something extreme or erroneous. Think about it. Smaller opening means less air coming through at a more difficult to 'inhale' rate.

Why would you WANT something small that could choke the airflow?

im not trying to argue with anybody. its just that some people thinks its got to be exactly 3.00000000009" I.D. to even be considered. trust me, i understand flow rates, friction loss and all that. i know that its harder for the engine to pull as much air through a smaller opening but it can still pull all it needs. going from 3.00 I.D. to 2.00 I.D. isn't terrible. i know its not ideal but it works. plus im about to install a ram air as well with 2.00 I.D. hose. the intake will breath all it wants and then some.

Thats too bad i see stock chero's around here cruise over 80 all the time. Mine runs on the warm side if i go above 78 or so. 70 to 75 it runs just under 200. Maybe i should get me some of those injectors and it will go faster. HA HA

Sorry for the bolts and stuff in the air box. engines half apart and ready to be picked out of there... but you can see the important stuff.TOTM intake modifications-2011-10-27-16.23.42.jpg
