Default Top for a back halfed cherokee?

Is there any one out there with any ideas on how to make a decent top for Cherokee that's chopped? I have attached pics

If it were me id finish running a cage into the back then make a soft top to cover it

X2. My friend has his chopped and is going to make a soft top for it before the winter.

That would be sweet.

I'd def say cut the top, finish the cage, powder coat it, and put bedliner on the lower half of the vehicle all around. That would be pretty durable and cool looking.

Why not use a TJ Wind Jammer? wouldnt that stop 75% of the rain and still allow you see out the back?

ive toyed with this idea, ultimately decided i liked the usefulness of a full bodied xj more.

But I would have had the cage come down like so:



and riveted some buttons to the sheet metal and had a button on canvas top.

Didn't look into it much after that. One of my worries was at speed the top might catch some wind with my half doors and want to pop off.
