Default Is 2 enough?

I just recently purchased the wheels and tires (5) off of a 2007 4dr wrangler sahara unlimited. They are

285/65r18

Will they fit my 1999 Classic? I know they won't fit stock, but I'm wondering if 2" blocks would be enough lift to support them without issues.

2 should be alright but they might rub under more flex... look at a 2 inch budget boost (spacers & shackle) And you need adapters from your XJ 5 x4.5 bolt pattern to the new jeep 5x5 bolt pattern

I found a chart online that said they both had the 5 x 4.5. Is that not true?

Nope. Tj's (97-2006 i believe was the final year) had the same lug pattern, but JKs like what you got them off of have a 5x5 or a 5x5.5 (can't remember exactly).

Seems like more work than I was prepared for. I bought them on a whim for $150. I'll see what I could get for them. Spare has never been mounted, never touched the ground.

Thanks for the input guys. Jeeple rank supreme.

I mean for like 100 bucks or less if you find 'em used you can find spacers/adapters. That's 250 bucks for a set of 5 tires AND rims. Not too bad really.
