Default TnT longarms vs serious longarms

Okay, so after much thinking, I have decided to get longarms. Am trying to figure out which ones I want. I like serious' design, but I don't really like how low the arms mount, and I really like the tnt arms because they are high clearence and the mounting seems to be higher. But the price is crazy. I could really use some help

I'm running serious offroad longarms and I haven't had a problem yet. I wasn't to crazy about the mount because if you have to pull the trans It's gotta come out but It's held up great so far. The built-in tcase skid is nice and mine has the scars to prove it works.

The TnT has more clearance and a removable cross member center section (easier to service trans and case). It also was designed by a qualified engineer for best ride quality and handling with strength in mind.

buy a cross member from another manufacturer and make your own y-links?...not sure what your situation is, but most of the work is in the cross member. jmho.

It hasn't been a real issue I pulled the motor and trans this last summer It's just a little more work other than that I have been happy. It has much better flex and the ride is a lot better than it was on short arms

Tnt or Claytons and maybe RK are the only ones I'd be looking at...

the clearance on the T&T kit was ridiculous. I slid over everything without even thinking. I'll never wheel another jeep without a belly pan. be prepared to be spoiled for life

the price is a real killer though. if you're on a budget go with serious. cant beat the beef for the price. even if you built it yourself

Hey atmos, as you see, I decided to go long arms. And I am kind of on a budget, but I want to do this all right the first time. So I think I'm gonna order the tnt as soon as I get the money, that way I can't bounce back and forth anymore

haha yeah I noticed. that was a fast change of mind. I think TNT is the right choice too if you can afford it. at 5" of lift and 12" of travel you will never notice any binding or unloading. I think the radius arms are a really good choice with the D30

What travel shocks did you run? Think I could use 14?

I was damn near 14" I'll have to measure again. because I had a bracket that eliminated my stems (I ran eyelets) which moved the shock down. and I think they were longer than 12" travel.

I was at 4.5" of lift and ran a limit strap. so I was using about 12" of it (otherwise the coils pop out). I would've rather had a shorter shock with a bit more uptravel so I wasn't bottoming out all the time

I bought RC long arms, no removable center section. Not the best design. Cheap though. If I had to do it all again I'd go the route of a weld on xmember with removable center section and a 3 link. Live and learn, tell others so they don't do the same lol.
