Tie Rods
I am looking to upgrade my tie rod ends and/or entire set up. I am running 33's on stock 15s and have a 4.5 Rough Country lift. Looking for suggestions. I am looking online and most companies suggest 4" or less lift and not running stock wheels.

Sounds like all you need is what I'm using along with a lot of others a ZJ setup a 98< V8 GC Tie Rod setup 10x stronger than the stock XJ and a direct bolt-in. This can be bought at AutoZone for under $100 for the 3 pcs. Long tie rod, short tie rod and the sleeve. My setup is about the same as yours 4 1/2" lift on 33x12:50's, locked 4.56's yada, yada.

I'm very happy with this product. I have 33's as well.

Giesesfa-If you do go the ZJ route, though it is cheaper, you won't have the improved steering geometry of a UTK/OTK set-up... Like Serious's kit or others.
I too am at 4.5" and have the ZJ set-up. You'll find out if you didn't know by now, the factory steering geometry SUCKs at the 4.5" and up range.
I waited as long as I could to bite the bullet and upgrade based off steering geometry. I'm buying Franks/Serious UTK kit as soon as it starts getting cooler here in FL. I have to work outside in a parking lot and it's still too hot to be out there screwing around. Another month will be nice.
We you ask about upgrading, do you want just "more strength" or "more strength AND better steering angle of the dangle"?

One of the main reasons for myself not doing these other steering mods were based on need and all the modifying of stock steering for them to fit I guess.
If/when it comes to a point where I need to address this issue I will do so then, but think it will come with other upgrades like larger tires for one 35"'s or larger.

Fred, that's where you'll see a need for it. I found that 4 1/2" of lift, you are either fine or you need to adjust your geometry. At 5.5" of lift I had a terrible case of bump steer along with worn parts and screwed up geometry. That and the fact I recently went with 35's upgrading was a must.

When it comes to steering I wouldn't be cheap. If you can weld you can get diy kits from ruffstuff. But by the time you do all the work, time is money it's cheaper to just get the serious kit. Unless you do like I did and go crossover and ota track bar. But running heim steering is legal in Florida don't know where your at.
