tie rod ends
ok so im running the v8 grand cherokee upgraded steering setup and iv had nothing but issues with the tie rod ends esp on the drag link. is there an upgrade for the tie rods alone? if not what steering set ups has everyone run and what brand has the best tie rod ends? i dont need a super duper beefy setup just something stronger then stock. also what brands besides jcr and rustys make full steering kits? thanks everyone

When i do one like the one I did on my yj and cj I get 1 ton Chevy tie rod ends from Napa and then ream the knuckles to accept the larger taper shank bolt. Then make the linkage from dom tubing. These have never broke on me.its kinda a super hd setup sorry, but it works all the time.

alot of places make the steering set up with 1 tons. try looking at seriousoffroad or ruff stuff even ballistic makes it. like trev said its pretty much just chevy tre's and some heavy duty tubing. you could also get inserts so you dont have to buy a reamer there kinda expensive.
