Default tie in brackets question

looking to get the nates4x4 rear bumper with tie in brackets.. would the tie in brackets work also as nut stripes to mount my gas tank skid? i beleive i can do this just want to double check before buying the bumper. thanks for any input

no, they use the same bolts/nut strip to tie into the unibody. If you dont have them you will need them to install the tie ins or skid. you can also fish some bolts into the rails and put a nut on the bottom, not so user friendly but easy to do. tie ins look like this.... (RED)

so your saying that i need to still get the nut stripes to mount my gas tank skid? that the tie in brackets will not work??

thats the stupidest designt ive ever seen, who the f decides thats a good idea?

anyway, you SHOULD be able to use your skid with that, provided that the skid and bumper tie in have enough clearance that you can mounted the skid to the frame and the tie in to the outside of the skid, and then bolt all the way through both to the nutstrip

yea when i called and talked to nate himself he told me he wasnt 100% positive itd work but hed bet that it would. so i took the risk and ordered myself up a new rear bumper
