Throttle body question
Is there a throttle body off another car (brand, model, etc) that would work on a 4.0 and give it more power. I'm all up for fabing and everything else, just curious

You can get a bored one here from a member (very nice job BTY I have one for $90 shipped/$25 less when you return your core). Other than injectors that's all I can think of off hand.

Or, does he just take the taper out of the inside, leaving the stock 52mm butterfly?

He leaves the stock butter fly. But... The stock butterfly is 60mm. At least mine is a measured it...
Edit:
I looked into this. Cruiser what you are referring to is a renix issue with the valve not being 60mm already. He has a 98 so he has a 60mm TB butterfly valve, removing the tapper is all that is required

The renix becomes a true 60mm all the way through from 52mm.
Thanks for clearing that up.
