Throttle body on 95 Cherokee
Lately I've been seeing people put a spacer under the throttle body 4.0 liter 6-cylinder motor what does that actually do for the motor? mine does not have one from the factory...

It does absolutely NOTHING. Some people think it boosts horsepower. It does not.

I wouldnt bother with a spacer on a 4.0L unless you have clearance issues. Spacers were used to boost performance back when everything used carburetor, but fuel injection just runs different and doesnt see the same gains. Its a waste of time and money. You would be better off slapping a racing sticker onto the valve cover.
