So a while back I posted about a dana 35 to chrysler 27 spline 8.25 swap, and was told the 35 drive shaft would be to long. Well fast forward to present day. I have a 3'' aal lift kit installed, with the 8.25. I have the 242 t case, and when we put the 35 drive shaft up there after the swap, it went about 1.5'' PAST the yoke on the diff before it bottemed out on the t case. We bolted it on, and flexed it out, and the drive shaft never bottemed out on the tcase.
My question, is what gives? I was told even with the lift, the dana 35 drive shaft would be way to long and banging into the t case. I have been driving it for 3 weeks now without ever a problem, or vibration. What happened to the drive shaft problem?
ALSO- have another unrelated question.
I bought a mile marker pe-8000 winch in PRISTINE condition, with a hitch mount carrier, all for $250. It has a high voltage quick connecter coming off the winch, and we need to get 2 female connecters and the cable to power it. Found some cable at a local store, but it was $3.85 a FOOT. to run front and back, we would need close to 30 ft of cable.
I remember seeing somewhere you could use heavy duty extension cords instead, as they are cheaper, around $15 for a 20 ft contractor grade cord. DOes anyone have any experience using this type of wiring setup for a winch?

Check out the specs of the winch. Then look up a wire gauge chart. I ran 2/0 to the back for my winch, about $3/ft off cableyard. I got radaflex, it is premium cable. If you just get black it's cheaper. The red is significantly more expensive. The cheapest place I found quick connects was at realtruck.com. They are male/female for $30 or something.
